FISHING

St. George Island has fabulous fishing. This narrow barrier island sits four miles off the mainland with the Apalachicola Bay on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. The bay is home to more than 100 species of fish which reside among the grassy flats, channels, oyster bars, sand bars, and small islands, while the Gulf provides surf and offshore fishing along 25 miles of beautiful congested white sand beach. There are dozens of fantastic charter services as well as boat rentals.
